Question:
Does the scheduling of a Playlist take the time as set on the Player or time set centrally? For example, if the Acquire2Go Player(s) is based in Pakistan and set to the local time, but the scheduling is administered from the UK. Which is used?
Resolution:
Yes. Although Playlist times are set centrally, i.e. in the Acquire2Go Portal, when deployed the local time on the Acquire Player will determine whether the content plays or not.
You should therefore ensure the Date/Time is correctly set to local time on the Players. This is also important in order to keep the Licence active as the PLUS! Network Server uses this to periodically check the licence status.
Please note: the same rules applies when setting schedules in Acquire Editor.
