Using Codec Packs with Acquire

Question:

Can you use multiple Codec Packs when installing Acquire Player?

Resolution:

No.  You should only ever install one Codec Pack, e.g. K-Lite when installing Acquire Player.  As you may find video playback issues occur by having multiple packages, i.e. the Player does not know what to use to decode a video and can make diagnosing Codec issues difficult.  

TIP: once installed it is a good idea to disable the automatic checking for updates, as this typically appears on top of the Acquire Player.

IMPORTANT: We do NOT recommend the use of LAVFilters Codec Pack with Acquire.
