Slideshow Media Folder Not Deployed

Question:

I have images for a Slideshow in a Media folder and have selected this in the Slideshow folder options.  However these do not deploy to the Player, why?

Resolution:

If you require a Media folder to be deployed to a Player you must ensure the folder is placed in the Project's Always Send folder and selected in the Slideshow options.  Please note: this is displayed when you select Browse the project's media folder, as shown.

An Always Send folder can be created in two ways:

1. In the Playlist Editor, whilst in the Media tab right-click Media Root and click New Media Folder.  

Now select Always Send and click OK.  The new folder is now available in the Slideshow Configuration.

2. In the Page Designer, double-click to open the Slideshow - Configuration and select ... and select Browse the project's media folder.

Click Make New Folder, you must ensure you right-click and Rename this to Always Send.  You will be able to drag the existing folder in to it, for accuracy of information we recommend using Method 1 as this creates the correct folder structure for you.  Please note: if you need to create multiple folders, simply add a new folder under Always Send and rename.

TIP: Any folders and files that are not in the Always Send are not deployed automatically irrespective of the deployment method, i.e. Manual, P2P or PLUS! Network.
