Question:
Using Site Manager, I am trying to request access to a Player but keep getting a popup notification saying Reverse Access failed - as already in use by User.
Resolution:
As another user currently has an open you will NOT be able to open another connection to the same Acquire Player until the current user closes their connection either by clicking Stop Reserve Access on the specific account or by quitting Reverse Access Manager altogether. You can identify the user is by the looking at information in Unit Information in Site Manager, see below:
You may also forcibly close the connection by right-clicking on the Reverse Access Manager icon and select Accounts, the name of the account and select Manage Sessions...
Identify the Acquire Player you wish to close the connection for in the Session List and click Cancel Session and Close. Please note: this action may take up to 15 minutes before you can attempt to reconnect to this Acquire Player.
Please note: we has removed the specific account name and user for Data Protection purposes.
