Question:
I am trying to commission or licence a new Acquire Player using PLUS! Activ8, however I keep getting a message that says, the Activation Failed due to insufficient licences. Why does this occur and what should I check to resolve this?
Resolution:
There are a number of reasons why this occurs, typically you will see this message if you have reached the maximum number of activations allowed on your PLUS! Network account.
For this reason you should try one of the following steps:
- Decommission any Acquire Players that are not in use, such as old hardware as this will be using a licence;
- When trying to activate a new Acquire Player, use the Activate this unit from which has been decommissioned option in Step 4. Which allows the old licence to be correctly used again from a previously decommissioned Acquire Player;
- If this message still appears, it is likely that your account may have reached the maximum number of activations, you cannot commission new Units or have another account issue. In which case, an authorised account user must raise Submit a Ticket and provide as much as detail of the issue as possible. Please note: if you are dealing with this request on behalf of a client, we may require authorisation from the owner(s) of the account.
