Question:
I sometimes see an key and exclamation mark icon next to the Units listed in Site Manager? What does this mean?
Resolution:
When you see this icon , displayed in Site Manager it means there is an authentication problem with the PLUS! Network and the Unit this is being displayed next to. In which case you can try and clear the authentication issue by using a feature in Site Manager, known as 2nd Chance.
Please note: Authentication Hints are hidden by default, to enable or show. Click View and untick Hide Authentication Hints first to reveal the icon (where applicable).
To do this:
1. Double-click on the Unit that has an authentication issue, to show the Unit Information and click 2nd Chance...
2. Click OK to allow the Unit to connect without a password for one time only and should allow it to connect to the PLUS! Network (and may take up to 15 mins to clear).
Please note: this method of clearing an authentication issue should only be used once, if the Unit in question continues to experience connection problems (over the the next 24 - 48 hours) it would typically indicate there is another problem, such as intermittent or faulty connection or Player at the remote location and would require further investigating at this location, see: Players not in Contact for more information.
