Multiple Instances of a Mandatory Program Starting Up

Question:

I have noticed that a program which I have added to the Mandatory Program list in Watchdog, is actually being loaded several times.  Why does this occur?

Resolution:

Typically, this occurs if the application (.exe) is being is automatically started elsewhere, such as Windows Startup.  To check click Start > Run > msconfig and OK.  On the Startup tab, please ensure your application is not being launched automatically (uncheck the box if you notice the application is selected) and click OK.

In addition it is worthwhile to check if the application is being launched from the User's Startup folder.  To check click on Start > All Programs > Startup and delete the shortcut for the application (if it is there). 

Restart the system and test.
