Adding Mandatory Programs

Question:

How can I use System Monitor to ensure my application keeps on running automatically? 

Resolution:

A feature of the software is the ability to automatically launch mandatory programs.  A Mandatory Program is an application, which can be added in to System Monitor to launch and keep the application alive in the event it crashes.  

To add an application (.exe)

1. Launch System Watchdog.  

2. Click Settings and select Mandatory Programs...

3. Click Add... and navigate to the application you want to add.  Once added, you can select to run the application Always on Top and Run as Admin, which is useful to use as the User Account may have limited user rights but the application may need elevated privileges to run.  By default you should not need to run applications in an elevated mode, some applications may however need this to be enabled and more information please check the documentation and use with care!

You can also the use command line to insert parameters to open a specific file inside the application.  

IMPORTANT: if you add an application in to System Monitor's Mandatory program list, you should ensure it is not being also loaded on Windows start.
