Question:
When I deploy a file over P2P, manually and over the PLUS! Network it is always 0Kb in size when sent, why does this happen?
Resolution:
The file compression used to compress the files can only handle file sizes of less than 2048Mb or 2Gb in size.
We can only recommend reducing the original file size to below the threshold or alternatively situation permitting, manually copy the file from a removable storage drive or network location to the player and place in the exact Media Folder location the file is destined to be as if it had been deployed. Typically this file size will occur when using HD videos or larger quality files, so to re-render and further compress the original is a good step forward.
Please note: Currently there are no plans to change the compression method to allow larger file sizes, there are no pending changes to this threshold.
