Uploading Media Files to Acquire2Go

Question:

How do I upload media files into Acquire2Go?

Resolution:

1) Navigate to the MEDIA tab.  All previously uploaded media will be shown here including media uploaded by other members of your work group.

2) Click the Upload Media button to open the Upload Media window.

3) You can highlight several files at once by holding down the Shift key.

5) Once you have highlighted the files you want, Click Open.

If you want to make uploading files easier press the File Uploading Alternative Link from the Upload Media window.

Follow the on-screen instructions and press Save.  This will enable you to drag-and-drop media files into Acquire2Go.  Content will also continue transferring in the background leaving you free to work on your project.  You will be notified by Acquire2Go once the file transfers have completed.

IMPORTANT: if you upload the same file (by filename) twice, the original is superseded by the newer one and could result in a situation where a Unit attempts to download a file that is no longer available on the File Server and you may see 760501|030000|361|WARNING: File media\~users\1776\OwlofMinerva.jpg is not registered on any file servers in the DeployLog.  

To check this use Activity in Acquire2Go, as shown below as this is a useful tool to show if a file was uploaded twice or deleted.

If a file is uploaded twice, the simple thing to do is check the uploaded file is the correct one (delete if necessary) and upload the correct one and deploy to correctly register it on the File Server.
