Manual deployment fails - Unable to deploy: Error creating Auto-Run information

Question:

When doing a manual deployment, I get a message saying the deployment fails when writing the information to a folder on the hard drive or a USB Pen drive with the error Unable to deploy: Error creating Auto-Run information.

Resolution:

Certain Anti-Virus software disable the processing of Autorun.inf files, and this not only stops them from being run but also stops them from being created.  The manual deployment procedure tries to create an autorun file and because it is unable to do so cannot continue.

There are 2 options:

1. Temporarily disable the Anti-Virus software whilst you create the manual deployment.

2. Change the setting within the Anti-Virus software to allow processing of autorun.inf files.
