Targeted Page Content showing at incorrect Locations

Question:

We use Targeted content on Pages, however the deployed Playlist containing these Pages are showing this content at all other locations.  Why does this occur and how can be resolved?

Resolution:

Firstly you should check your Project to ensure the Playlist is set correctly.  If you use Targets, from the Page Editor Toolbox but select no Targets, Acquire Editor will assume this is done in an error and will automatically select all locations (but does not Tick All).  This results in all content Units playing all Targets when the Project is deployed.

To ensure Units only play what you require, select the appropriate checkbox for the Target location, as shown:

TIP: the Target configuration is saved in C:\ProgramData\Acquire\targets and uses the Project GUID as the filename.
